Defining Success through Positive Attitude

Fear; Just Say No!

Just say no to fear, sounds too easy doesn’t it.  Oh Ya-I can see you out there rolling your eyes at me and shaking those fingers in my direction; Here are three links from previous posts of mine that I believe will help you with the unnecessary body gestures and movements as well as the “control yourself”-thing;

- Concentration 101.2 and more: Time to Focus

- Concentration: Control Yourself

- Maxim of Effort

Those of you have been following along - Should remember - but a refresher course wouldn’t hurt.

Now come back to me when you are ready and let get this conversation started!  I really want to get you on the road to replacing your fear with Faith.  But it really is just that simple.  Just Say No by saying YES to Faith!

Ya-ttitudeTM‘ismFear and Faith make lousy bedfellows as they can not occupy the same space.

One directly influences the other and one directly replaces the other.  In essence; the more faith you have, in you, in yourself, in what it is you are doing and in the people around you, the less fear you will have.  With this in mind you should have realized by now that your level of faith can be such as to entirely eliminate fear!

Now faith defined is an awareness or belief in an ultimate power (that power can be inside or outside of you).

Remember: You can not simply say you have faith - You must continually use it!

Many people have the source of their faith firmly planted in their religious convictions; and I will tell you here as I have mentioned before - I simply do not discuss religion, but you should realize faith is one of those mysteries that comes from believing; strong religious beliefs are a definite plus where your faith is concerned.

Faith is just one of those things you can not take for granted.  It has to be active, a chore you must work on every day.  If you are to have faith - you need to work on your faith.  If you are to achieve your ultimate success, your ultimate desire and your ULTIMATE YA-TTITUDETM - You Must work on and apply your faith - your desires - continually!

Most people who have had their faith shaken or diminished by what the “Great Ones of the Self-Help World” have deemed “The Ten Great Fears.”  Eliminating those fears and more importantly the reason or the actual lack of reason behind them will be your first-best method to the Ultimate Faith;  Ya-ttitudeTM-Faith!

Ya-ttitudeTM-Faith: Positive Faith through the removal of negatives that are blocking the flow of your faith to both your conscious and sub conscious mind.

Ya!; In order to develop faith you need a conscious effort, but you must allow your sub conscious mind to work on all of those positive Ya-ttitudesTM you are learning and allow the mind to absorb those new positive-faith-feelings you are now developing.

    1 - Great Post
2 - My fear mostly surrounds “silence” - when I’ve reached out to someone and get no response. I get into that “what did I do wrong” mode and take it way too personally.

  3. Benny Greenberg Says:

    Thanks Melissa-
That is something I used to suffer from - I used to wonder why don’t they just call back - any answer would be fine - just call. Now - I leave my message or drop my note - and then - if they do not call me - then it is their loss - I can spend my time much more positively then chasing a dead-end…

  4. Susan Daly Says:

I like your topic. I have always been told that you have to move out of your comfort zone and attempt things that you are a bit fearful of.

  5. Benny Greenberg Says:

Now imagine that you can increase your comfort zone so large that in encompasses those areas that you were less than comfortable in prior to learning these techniques.

  6. ARose Says:

This is a fantastic topic! It is so true that you have to work hard to maintain Faith. So many put obstacles in their path. When each person finally realizes those obstacles can be overcome and/or let go of-that they can truly focus on obtaining and continuing Faith. It’s reallllly is easier DONE than said. hehehe

Faith is wonderful and can help us conquer all fears…To truly be ourselves 24/7 and understand that if we, individually, are doing the right things-there will never be anything to fear! :)

True vs Temporary happiness-which do you prefer? I like true happiness myself:) NO-I LOVE IT! hehehe

    Thanks Benny

  7. Benny Greenberg Says:

    Ahhhh Rose…
You are correct: Faith is wonderful and can help us conquer all fears…

Well said Rose. You can find happiness - true happiness - in your faith!

I’m facing my fears now and finding they are working their way out of my system. I’m trusting God knows what He’s doing, even if I’m not making sense of things.

Your faith can come from inside or outside!

I benefit from reading everyone of your posts and want to thank you for publishing them.

For me reliance on the variety of blind faith that comes from outside is not useful and in fact, fettered me. Once I escaped the kind of thinking that God was taking care of everything for me and that ancient scripture was my operator’s manual, I began to take care of myself physically, emotionally and mentally as I never had before. When I turned away from reliance on all the fear based automatic responses I was programmed to have as a child I truly became free and happy. I began to invest in trusting myself. Today I trust that I can not only live a conscious and compassionate life but also a joy filled one. And, I have become strong and resilient as a result.

  11. Benny Greenberg Says:

First - I need to thank you for the kind words. I am glad that even in the smallest part - I can be of benefit to you.

As I mentioned… It can come from inside or outside. But in order to get over your fears - it has to come. You have found just one of the myriad of ways to develop and strengthen your faith - and you are proof-positive that It does work…

This comment of yours “I began to invest in trusting myself.” - The best investment one can make - is the investment in oneself!

I thought this poem would be very appropriate here:

    “Our Greatest Fear —Marianne Williamson
it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
    talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
    God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
    we unconsciously give other people
    permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
    Our presence automatically liberates others.”

    —Marianne Williamson

Expanding beyond our comfort zone and squelching fear is such a liberating thing and it’s what God has designed us to do. It is only then that we become beautiful!

  13. Benny Greenberg Says:

Expanding beyond our comfort zone and squelching fear is such a liberating thing. The greatest freedom is the freedom from your fears…

    Thanks Jennifer

  14. ARose Says:

From what I just read..I felt the need to add:

A BIG part of overcoming fears is this: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS !!!

that means, you own everything you say and do-therefore, you will have consequences! Action-Reaction!

Sometimes it’s good! Sometimes it’s bad -and when that happens, people want to hide it. Thus, creating more fears unnecessarily. Nonetheless, it happens.

You have to take responsibility for every action-reaction in your life!

    :) HUGS

  15. Benny Greenberg Says:

Bigger yet - Not being afraid to take responsibility for your own actions.
Be accountable for yourself and others will count on you!

  16. ARose Says:

    Jennifer!

Thanks for posting this poem! It’s spot on!

I enjoy encouragement through reading things like this:) Such a positive note:) I love it!!

    Beautiful post, as usual!
I really have no fears to share… if I am afraid of something, I deal with it. I’m assuming you follow choice theory… we’ve a lot of the same beliefs towards life attitude.

  19. Benny Greenberg Says:

Thank You - I am glad you like the writing - It means alot to me…

I am not a strict follower of choice theory. There is some stuff int here that I may agree with…

Much of it I do not. For those of you who need a little clarity…

I am afraid of something, I deal with it.
This part of Crystal’s Theory is a winner!

We must be on the same wave length. After I wrote my last post titled: “IT’S SAFE: come on in…heh heh heh” I had several people mention fear or email me talking and asking about fear. So I commented on my own post and told them that I would talk about fear in the next few days., which I will do this weekend. And then I go to your page on Blog Catalog and you are writing about fear…VERY COOL. Now is that amazing or what? I will forward people to your articles on fear in my post. How fun! You never cease to amaze me. You give the world a gift in you ability to inspire and encourage with love and kindness. Thanks Ben.
