The 4-Step Plan to Success

February 28, 2008

4-step plan to successI have spent a great many years working on what I think is the ultimate, scaled-down version of the success plan - a Ya-ttitudeTM-Plan.  I have read all the greats and the not-so-greats; the obscure and the obvious.  But what I have come to learn is that the key to your success is not a secret.  I am going to - over the next few weeks - blog for you the general outline and then work the details of what I know will make you successful - no matter how you define success…

The 4-Step Plan to Success, as it will be defined in these readings is multi-dimensional.  In your everyday life it will continually change and evolve. But what we can all agree on is this; if you are reading this it is that your ultimate goal is to be successful; not only in your professional life but in your personal life as well. Most people want to be rich and if you are not one of those you should probably stop reading about now. But remember being rich can be defined in a myriad of ways. For the purpose of this reading I will define it as being wealthy both financially and mentally.

Richness of mind and soul are definite parts of these ideas as it intertwines with economic richness too.  Being Rich is a state-of-mind as well as a state-of-the-bank-account.  Your richness is defined by You!

Success only responds to planning, backed up by strong emotional desires and consistent persistence in the attainment of your goal!  You may want to read that last sentence a few times.

Personalize it and say it to yourself a few hundred times.

For the purpose of this initial writing I will outline my 4-step plan.  And then over the next few days and weeks I will fill in the blanks and expand the plan until you have a complete handy guide to success.

The 4-Step System to getting it all started.

1. Your definitive plan, expressed by continuous and incessant action.

2. Your definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its attainment.

3. Your mind tightly close to all negative influence. Those negative influences can come from places you least expect; friends, family and acquaintances.

4. Your Master Mind Alliance with one or preferably more persons who will encourage and stand by you always helping you to follow your plan and your purpose.

Why you have given the name as Ya-ttitude. Is that a combination way to give Ya its Attitude or any specific reason. Its sounds different.

Is this 4-Step Plan your original, based on your personal experience? Just curious, as I believe you’re one of the very few(relative to the Earths population) individuals who may have achieve great success in financial wealth. I want to believe I’m dead serious to achieve the same given a chance, yet I need mentoring, in a way.

    ——————–
I have spent much time trying to take many of the long-winded plans and cutting them down to something the layman can use - I was going to use 7 then 9 maybe 5 - But 4 is a nice and easy number to work with. Some of the thoughts are not original and may are - the presentation style is original - and - I am trying to make it a friendly, one-on-one method. Anyone can do this - I want to make that clear.

This is an amazing article, Ben!

Planning, passion and desire to execute, keeping those who are nay-sayers away and those that will support you near is the absolute key to success in my opinion!

I have to repeat….Great article… and I look forward to reading more. We share much of the same way of thinking when it comes to attitude! I’d love to do a link exchange with you for my blog at DOCintheBiz where I discuss many of the same ideas of “It’s all in your attitude.”

Thanks Doc - Keeping close to you a group of people who will help you along - and keeping those who fear your success far away will get you to where you want to be - It’s like I have said before - The reason you should not be watching the news on TV or reading it in the papers is because it is filled with all the negative downers - and it will drag you down with it - if you keep those positives in your life - you will give positive as well!

I love this post Ben! I found you via Dr KC’s stumbles and I have to say that your four steps are paramount to success…. especially keeping out those nay sayers negative influences away! The Master Mind alliance I believe is also a great way to stay accountable to your dreams and goals. Great post!

    Ben,

Great Post! I really liked number four. I have found nothing keeps me on track and focused better than:

    A) Knowing someone else is depending on me

    B) That person being there to nudge, prompt, motivate, or kick as needed!

    Thanks!

I love this Benny! Love the concept of just staying shut down to all potential negativity. Feedback helps us grow, negativity from ourselves and others just makes us shrink back.

    Fabulous article my dear!

Those are three good steps. Wanting it is Key! Working for it gets you there - and getting it often icludes a few other things…

    But a great little shortcut… :)

Shortcuts do not work though :)
